We’re honored that you’re able to joins us for what we know will be a powerful and empowering workshop on women, herbs and shamanism with Rocio Alarcon, Dona Enriqueta Contreras, and Rosemary Gladstar. Please read the following information carefully. It should answer any questions you might have about the workshop. What Time the Program Starts and Finishes
- Registration is from 3 -5 p.m. on Friday. The opening ceremony & introductory circle is from 5 -6:30. Dinner will be served at 6:30 followed by an evening Session.
The workshop concludes at 4 p.m. on Sunday;
- Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate participants on Sunday evening, but we’re happy to provide a list of local lodging options and campgrounds. We ask Participants to stay for about ½ hour after the closing circle to help with final clean up ~ thank you.
Meals
- 6 delicious healthy Catered Meals are served from Friday dinner to Sunday Lunch.
- Meals are lacto-vegetarian (dairy, eggs, cheese) w/some fish/chicken served and feature local food as much as possible.
- If you have special dietary needs, you must let us know in writing at least two weeks in advance.
- We’ll do our best to accommodate special dietary needs if we’re notified in advance in writing. Thanks!
- A variety of teas will be available throughout the weekend. Though we don’t serve coffee, you’re certainly welcome to bring your own.
What to Bring
- Summer in Vermont is generally warm and sunny. But we can have huge thunderstorms and lots of rain, so come prepared.
Bring: a Water Proof tent if camping warm sleeping bag and pad are necessary
Rain poncho (a must) Comfortable clothing for all types of weather
Swim suit (optional for hot tub/sauna) Personal toiletries
Sunscreen, Towels (at least two); Flashlight w/extra batteries
Insect repellent (insects are not generally a problem in Vermont in the summer)
Optional items ~ Snack items, Coffee (if you have caffeine needs). We don’t serve coffee, but you’re certainly welcome to bring your own. We have coffee pots available.
Also, for Rocio’s workshop:
- Bring your favorite cologne and/or essential oil and, if you have extra, bring some fresh Melissa, Feverfew, Lavender, Marigold, and/or Rosemary.
Accommodations at Sage Mountain ~
- We are a beautiful but rustic retreat center and medicinal plant preserve located in the Green Mountain State. We have lovely herb gardens surrounded by thousands of acres of wilderness. Our facilities include a yurt classroom, student library, large kitchen, indoor sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi. We do have some indoor sleeping areas available, but it is not private (i.e. is shared with others); you’ll need to bring a sleeping bag and pad. For privacy, we suggest bringing a tent and camping in our meadow or woodland camp ground. Please note: we don’t have room for family and friends not registered for the workshop; There are campgrounds in the area if they wish to accompany you. Also, though we love animals, pets are not invited.
If flying:
- Fly into Burlington International Airport, Burlington, Vermont. If you need a pick up service from the airport, please contact us. We’re happy to help get you from the airport to Sage MT (about an 1 ½ hour drive from the airport) either by finding a ride with another student coming from Burlington or by helping to arrange a pick up service through one of the airport van services. If necessary, we’ll arrange to pick you up from the airport but must charge $45 round trip fee for this service. You must let us know TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE in writing if you need this service.
- When flying home, book your flight for either Sunday evening after 6 so we have time to get you to the airport in time for your flight, or plan to spend the night in the lovely town of Burlington and fly home on Monday morning. Let us know if you’d like us to send you a lodging list for Burlington.
Registration Information
- $375 includes camping and/or limited indoor lodging and 6 catered meals (Friday dinner through Sunday Lunch).
