Dear Friends,

We’re excitedly planning for another exceptional International Herb Symposium. For many people this is their favorite herbal event and one we all look forward to every two years. One of the many features that make this gathering so unique is the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most respected herbalists and healers in a forum that honors and respects the wide range of ideas and beliefs and the diverse ways that herbalists work with healing plants. From Shamanic and folkloric, to traditional, clinical, and scientific approaches, there is a wide diversity of styles and topics to choose from. With over 35 teachers representing 12 countries and over 90 workshops, we’re sure you’ll find more than enough to satisfy your yearning for herbal knowledge. But the IHS is far more than just a grand educational event; it is a celebration of the spirit of plants and people who love them. There’s a Summer Solstice celebration, the Grand Herbalist Summer Fantasy Ball, evening entertainment, Herbal Emporium the IHS Herbal Products Contest, Botanical Art Exhibit, massage and pampering at the Relaxation Oasis, and many other activities to enjoy.

We’ve done our best to keep prices as low as possible without compromising the quality of the Symposium. We think we’ve done a good job, barely raising prices in the past few years though costs have gone up significantly. Still we realize that for many in the ‘green circle’ it’s challenging to attend. In order to make it possible for everyone who wishes to attend, we offer several discounts and work study opportunities. Participants can combine two discounts for even further savings (for instance, EBR + Group Discount), but two is the limit (we cannot accept more than two discounts per person). Also, please note, discounts are for IHS Tuition only and do not include Intensives, Meals & Lodging (subtract discount from the tuition and then add Intensives, lodging & meal packages).

$275 Early Bird Registration Discount:  Register before March 30th and pay $275 instead of the regular $325 tuition (a $50 savings!)

Group Discount:  Groups of 8 or more who register together receive 10% off of each registration.  Combine the Group Discount with the Early Bird Registration for even greater savings. Please note, group registrations have to be sent in together in order to qualify.   Sorry, we are unable to take group payments online.    Either mail in your group registrations along with a check(s) (you can download the Registration Form from the IHS website or call and  request a brochure) or register by calling the IHS office at 802.479-9825 and make a credit card payment.
 
United Plant Savers Member Discount. We want all of our UpS members to attend and are offering a 10% Discount to current UpS Members. If not a member, join now for a 10% savings.
 
Work Study Program: a limited number of people can register for the Symposium at $225, which includes tuition, 3 nights lodging and meals in exchange for helping at the Symposium.  For information on the IHS Work Study Program visit the IHS website or contact WS Program Director Deb Poueche at 860.684.0551; deb@herbsnhoney.com. 
 
Teen Discount (13 – 18): $195;  Kids 2-12: $125 plus lodging/meals
 
Senior Citizen discount (65 +): $225 plus lodging/meals
 
Scholarshipsthrough the Gail Ulrich Memorial Educational Fund.  There are a limited number of partial scholarships available. Contact the Sage MT office for more information; sage@sagemountain.com; 802.479.9825. Scholarship applications must be received by May 1st.
