Sage Mountain Herbs & Earth Awareness, 2014
Welcome to Sage Mountain
Welcome to Sage Mountain. Founded by Rosemary Gladstar and family, Sage Mountain Retreat Center & Native Plant Preserve is one of New England’s foremost learning centers for herbs and earth awareness. Located on 500 wilderness acres in central Vermont, this beautiful piece of Earth Mother is a natural sanctuary and teaching site. There is an incredible assortment of wild herbs and flowers growing in habitats that vary from meadows, forest to swamp. Our wild neighbors include deer, bear, moose, beavers, bobcat, otters, fox and a wonderful variety of feathered folk that honor us with their presence. Our facilities are simple, rustic and comfortable and provide a relaxing and beautiful place for participants to learn.
This marks our 27th year of offering programs at Sage Mountain. Though we will be offering fewer programs this year on the Mountain, we have a busy year planned with two large herbal events ~ the International Herb Symposium & the New England Women’s Herbal Conference ~ as well as several Plant Lover’s Journey’s and a couple of our perennially favorite classes. Rosemary will be traveling and teaching at several other events as well. We are also seeking new owners/stewards of Sage Mountain. As we grow older (Rosemary turned 64 this year on 12-12-12!), we yearn to simplify, do less, and ‘be more’. If your dream includes owning a beautiful mountain retreat and/or running a small retreat center, please contact us. Not a ‘simple dream’, this will require a particular person or group of people with energy and financial resources, but its a fulfilling dream worth pursuing…..

The Herbalist Teachers Training Program
with Rosemary Gladstar
September 7 ~ 13, 2014
Rosemary only offers this program once every few years, and it always fills up quickly. Have you dreamed of having your own herbal center? Teaching herbalism to students? Offering events and conferences in your area? How about Herbal Travel Adventures? Are you already doing so, but not as successful or confident as you wish? Is it possible for you to create ‘right livelihood’ and a good salary doing what you love?! Absolutely! In this Herbalist Teacher Training Program, Rosemary will share with you all she’s learned in her long and successful career as an ‘adventure seeking herbalist’. This isn’t a course about herbs, but how to share your herbal passion with your community and the world in a way that brings greater success and joy to you and to those around you. We’ll discuss business strategies, setting reasonable goals, aligning your calendar with your life style, and other wise practices, but mostly we will learn to access our inner voice, the wise teacher within to empower and inspire that part of ourselves that wants to empower and inspire others. This will most likely be the last time Rosemary offers this course.
Space is limited. Registration Information: $1375 includes all instructions, handouts, meals and lodging (camping/limited indoor lodging). $200 non-refundable/non transferable deposit required to hold your place.
